Private creditors will write off 53.5% of debts on old Greek bonds



Finance Ministers of the euro area countries  (The Eurogroup)  have reached an agreement of granting of the second package of the  financial help to Greece, has declared the Head of Eurogroup, Luxembourg prime-minister Jean-Claude Junker on Tuesday at press conference on results of a meeting of Finance Ministers of countriesof euro area.   As he said, the private creditors will write off 53.5% of debts of "old" Greek bonds as their exchange for new state papers.

Thus, reports Bloomberg, the write-offs, which are provided by the agreement, will allow to reduse a Total: sum of the Greek debt on 107 billion euro.

The new program of the help to Greece, approved by Minister of Finance of the countries of euro area, will allow to reduse level of a country state debt to 120.5% of gross national product by 2010 year, the Eurocommissioner on economic problems Olli Ren has declared at press conference. He also  told that the European Central Bank  (ECB) plans to distribute profit on Greek state bonds belonging to it between the government of the countries of an euro area which, in turn, will direct these money resources to the aid of Athenes.

Thereby, ECB at which as a result of interventions in the market of state papers has accumulated the Greek bonds for the sum in 50 billion euro, will not break requirements of the legislation which forbits it to finance the some countries.
