On November 18, 2022, the ceremony of launching trading of the first issue of gender bonds of Bank of Asia

Bank of Asia entered the stock market with the debut issue of gender bonds, the trading start ceremony was held in Bishkek on November 18, 2022 with the participation of representatives of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Institute for Economic Policy Research of the Kyrgyz Republic, UN Women in the Kyrgyz Republic, government agencies and international organizations, securities market participants, investment funds and investors.

Gender bonds are a type of sustainable financing instrument, the funds of which are directed to environmentally and socially significant projects. The funds raised through the placement of gender bonds of the Bank of Asia will be used to finance women's entrepreneurship in the Kyrgyz Republic and stimulate the development of responsible investment.

For successful placement earlier, gender bonds of Bank of Asia passed the listing procedure on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange in category "B", which gives an additional advantage to investors in terms of exemption of bond income from taxation. An external review (“Second party opinion”) on the compliance of the instrument with the sustainability criteria was compiled by GFC-Astana.
