For the first time in Kyrgyzstan: Buying government securities using «MEGA Investments» service

Today, on 15th of March, the Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Baketaev made the first in the history of the country pilot online purchase of government securities in real time. The Head of the Ministry of Finance purchased the 12 - month State Treasury Bills (STBs) using the MEGA Investments service via the MegaPay mobile application. 

"For the first time in Kyrgyzstan, an application has been launched where you can buy government securities. They have a high degree of guarantee from the state. At the same time, the interest rates are very acceptable. At the first stage it is about 15 per cent. This is a lighter form of deposit and getting good enough payments," noted Almaz Baketaev.

"MEGA Investments" is a unique service in the MegaPay application that allows you to go to the digital platform of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange and brokerage companies to buy securities online through a brokerage company.

The "MEGA Investments" project is being developed by CJSC " Alfa Telecom"  together with the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange with the support of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic. Thanks to the presented platform, investors will be able to buy securities without coming to the office of brokerage companies, having concluded only a digital contract with the help of a cloud digital signature. It will also be possible to pay for brokerage services via MegaPay. 

Once the test period is over, the service will be available to full bank identified MegaPay users.

Investments in government securities are one of the most reliable instruments for investing and multiplying one's savings. Since the state acts as a guarantor of the reliability of investments, investors do not have to worry about their savings, payments on government securities are provided for in the national budget and are always made on time.
